DepicT Assignment Pre Production Paper Work.

Budgeting Sheet:
For our film, we did not have a big budget. So it was very important that we kept everything as cost effective as possible. It was also very important, to keep track of everything we needed so that down the line when we we're filming, we wouldn't need to go out and waste time getting something we needed for the shoot but didn't realize until the shoot.

Location Recce:

We had to complete a location recce sheet to insure that we knew when each location was available to shoot on and what times that certain location was available.
Location Release:
In order to shoot at the locations we required, we needed the right permissions to show that we were allowed to film on that specific location. Our location happened to be inside the college so we had to get our teacher to sign the location release.

Production Schedule:
We had to complete a production schedule so that we knew what we were doing on each day of filming. It's quite important to do this as it keeps everything organised and also helped us when we were editing the film, because we knew where each video clip was and which day it was recorded making them easier to find.

Risk Assessment:
We also had to fill out a risk assessment form and get it counter signed by our teacher, to show what risks were possible when filming our DepicT production.
Shot List:
So that we were organised in the filming of our production, we needed to complete a shot list. This links with the story board in that we knew what to do when it came down to actually filming.
Story Board:

The first thing that we had to complete was a story board. This is basically just a very rough idea of how scenes would be organised and would also show what kinds of shots to use as well as shot lengths, locations and sound/dialogue. Although it is quite difficult to draw what ideas we had and what shots we needed, it was very helpful when it actually came down to filming because we would always rerfer to the story board to see what scene we had to do with what shot.
